My Big Boy Turned 9!

Ross' birthday usually falls around Mother's Day. That is why I was too busy to work on my talk until Saturday night.

Like me, Ross believes that birthdays should be a month long celebration. So this year, Ross had 4 parties. (He is also having a sleep over next week.) Keep in mind this is the year Ross opted for small party, big present.

On Friday the 9th in addition to Tiger Ice and the Butterfly release, I brought Friday Fun Birthday Treats to Ross' class. He decided on Fudgesicles. Of course we sang to him too.

Then on Sunday the 11th I made manicotti and strawberry pie for a family party with Mamaw and Papaw, Aunt Angela, Uncle Matt, Ashlynn, Noah and Ella. Ross got his big present on Sunday: a Wii (which is I think partly Jason's present too.) Ross was very, very excited.

This was my favorite present, a savings bond from Mamaw and Papaw!

The last of the pie.
Than on Monday we invited the Odom's over to play with the Wii and have banana ice cream. (see previous posting with recipe).
Finally on Tuesday the 13th, his actual birthday, Ross has his friends Brandon and Cameron over for cookie cake and to play his Wii. Thomas (from around the corner) came to play too.

Owen did his part by making sure the Wiimote Numchuck is drool proof.

Wow, I thought I made a big deal about birthdays (mine is a month from tomorrow) but Ross really does it up right. Happy Birthday Ross!
