What A Week!

I caught Jason reading my blog last night, so I thought I had better make the time for a new posting. It has been a busy few days and it is only going to get busier until the end of school. (Only 11 days of school left, hurray, no more getting up to make PB&J sandwiches!)

Where to start? I am happy to report that the Jeep is all better and Owen is on his way to all better too.

All of us have stuffy noses now. I gave Ross a lecture this morning on how to blow his nose without getting snot everywhere. I hate it when he wipes his nose with the back of his hand, yuck! I know, he is a little boy who does not care, but still ugh!

Papaw and Jason made big progress on the swing set/fort this weekend. I will get a photo up soon. It now has a bridge on top of the swings that links the two towers. The temporary railings are almost up too. I really appreciate all of Papaw's hard work. Ross and Owen are going to enjoy their fort for a long time. However, Ross can't understand why he can't have a secret entrance tunnel that leads back and forth to the fort from outside the fence. We told him he could if he dug the tunnel. That has him stumped for the time being, but I had better watch out if he goes looking for the shovel.

The best thing about the fort is that is has brought Papaw and Mamaw over this way for some quality time with us. It is fun when they stay for dinner. Thankfully my cooking is getting better.

Ross and I are playing Animal Crossing again. We built a 4th house for Ariel and drained Jason's account to pay it off. Turns out that you do get a statue if you pay your house off last, a small green jade one. It took six days and over a million bells, but for once we proved that Jason does not know absolutely everything about computer games. Now if we can only catch a large char and a cherry salmon, tricky fish!

I am all in an uproar over the school personnel cutbacks. I am not going to get out my soap box now, I will only say, why do people keep voting for the same ridiculous school board members? I heard that even though they don't have enough money for teachers, they are planning to replace all the soap, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers next year. What are we overpaying Nichols and all his assistants for ?

Let's see, jeep good; Owen better, school almost over (I sent out the end of the year picnic letters today); Mother's Day coming (I got my cards out); Ross' present is hidden away (but I still have to get Friday Fun Treats, Sunday Birthday dinner and Monday treats ready); and I am not ready for Cubs tonight or next week's Cub fundraiser either so I had better get to it while Owen is still asleep.

Thanks to everyone who is reading my blog, I love to see the numbers on my counter change.
